Why are we taking it??

Hi friends

For sometime, precisely since the day i became a bahu, i have been thinking of writing my thoughts out to everyone of you out there and may be try to understand why are we all taking it in todays times.

We grow up from little princess to become self dependent women, who wears the pants too.
We have dreams like all others, we think that we can change the world.

Fortunately in todays times even parents and society have come to terms with a girl being a strong self dependent entity on her own. Its no longer a sin to be a mother to a girl child.

But then eveything changes when you are declared in front of thousands of people to be a lawfully wedded wife to the man of your dreams.

Thats the day, you realise even your parents change.

You go dreamy eyed into a new house altogether, with clear conscience, the dream of making that family as your own. Accepting all things and getting the acceptence of who you are.

But sorry, not every picture has a happy ending.
Suddenly you are there. Its land of critics. Judges.

Its a contest, that you can never win, you are being pitched against not a human being, but a image of someone they have percieved over the years.

Its not a contest that you can ever dream to win, because you cant see whom you are competing against, just that at every round you are judged by the critics and you hope to improve one day.

So, we started with this dreamy eyed girl who got married, but i guess we have lost her by now.

Thats the reason i write this blog today.
Can we do something?
Can we really get her back,
I know i am not the only one who is lost in this, there are many of you who have been declared last in this competition by your in laws.

Lets at least start thinking.
Before its too late.
